Brunei students off to Fukoka Japan

8 students and 3 teachers are off to Fukoka Japan for as part of an educational visit program. The students from Year 8 were selected to for the program where it is the continuation of last year’s cultural exchange program.

The Department of Schools, Ministry of Education in Brunei had sympathised with the students that had worked hard for the cultural exchange program where due to the high outbreak of  Influenze H1N1 in Fukoka Japan last year, the scheduled trip on  9th – 22 July 2009 was cancelled, therefore this year, the students will be participating in the educational visit to Fukoka Japan.

According to the head of contingent , Hjh Noridah bte Abdullah students from  year 8 Sultan Omar ali Saifuddin Collage Secondary school Tanjong Maya, Sultan Shari Ali Secondary school, Sayyidina Hassan Secondary school, Rimba Secondary school, Sayiddina Hussain Secondary school and Raja Isteri Girls High School were selected for the program.

She said that the visit is aimed at enhancing the ties between Japan and Brunei Darussalam, as well as to share the experiences of students and teachers and to learn about both the cultures of Brunei and Japan.

It is also aimed at motivating and giving exposure and insight on the educational systems of schools in Japan, where it is hoped that the visit and experience will motivate the students to be more successful in their studies and career in the future.

BANDAR SRI BEGAWAN Ahad 11 April – Pembatalan penyertaan penuntut-penuntu yang terpilih untuk menyertai APCC 2009 diFukuoka Jepun yang sepatutnya diadakan pada 9 Juali hingga 22 Julai 2009 adalah atas sebab Fukuoka telah dilanda teruk dengan wabak virus influenza H1N1.

Jabatan Sekolah-sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan merasa simpati terhadap penuntut-penuntut berkenan yang telah berusaha keras dalam menjalani latihan-latihan bagi persiapan menyertai program tersebut maka Jabtan Sekolah-sekolah berhasrat untuk memberi peluang kepada penuntut-penuntu berkenaan bagi membuat lawatan pendidikan ke Fukoka, Jepun.

Sehubung denga itu 8 porang penutnut dari Maktab Sultan Omar ali Saiufddin, Sekolah Menegah Tanjong Maya, Sekolah Menegah Sultan Shari Ali, Sekolah Menegah Sayyidina Hassan, Sekolah Menegah Rimba, Sekolah Menegah Sayiddina Hussain dan Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri serta 3 orang guru pengiring yand diketua i oleh Pegawai Pelajaran Kanan, Hjh Noridah bte Abdullah telah berangkat ke Fukuoka, Jepun selama satu minggu bagi program lawatan pendidikan diantara Jepun dan Brunei.

Beliau mengatakan bahawa adalah  sebahagian daripada objektif program tersebut adalah bagi mendedahkan ahli rombongan kepada sistem persekolahan Jepu, memberi peluang bagi pelajar-pelajar meneroka pengalaman baru dan berguna bagi membuka minda dan sebagai motivasi kearah kecemerlangan.

Memantapkan lagi kemahiran kepimpinan pelajar dalam membentuk keyakinan diri dan jugua bagi mengenal serta menghormati adat ressam di antara kedua buah negara, berkongsisama dan bertukar-tukar pandangan dan pengalaman di antara pelajar-pelajar dan guru guru dari kedua buah negara.

Program ini juga adalah sebagai satu landasan bagi mengeratkan hubungan persahabatan dan kesetiakawan di antara Brunei Darussalam dan Jepun.
