In order to nurture unity between students and school as well as plant leadership traits and enhancing students self esteem and confidence, the Alumni class of 64 with the cooperation of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Collage and supported by Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP), has organised a student forum.
Four schools and collages had taken part in the forum, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddein Collage (SOAS), Seri Paduka Begawan Sultan Science Collage, Sultan Mohammad Jamalul Alam (SMJA) Secondary school and Raja Isteri Girls high school (STPRI).
During his speech the chairperson of the event, SOASC Principal, Pg Hj Zahari Pg Hj Ahmad said that the theme for this year’s forum is ‘Student Today Economical Society Catalyst’ where he stated that the students of today are the future of tomorrow, where their value lies in their potential to lead the next generation.
They are the asset of the country, where they will continue the nation’s building, the nation’s security, harmony and wellbeing. Sultan Mohammad Jamalul Alam (SMJA) Secondary school emerged as champion of the student forum with Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddein Collage (SOAS), coming in second.
This is the third year the student forum has been organised by the Alumni class of 64 where it aims encourage student unity, by enhancing their self esteem and knowledge through open discussions in a forum setting through a panel of their peers. Through the discussions the students will be more self aware of their contribution to society and their impact on the nation as the next leaders and administrators of the future.
