In order to realise the vision of the Ministry of Education in providing a quality and comprehensive education for all in line with the National Eduation System (SPN21), the Working committee for Principals and Deputy Principals for Schools and Collages (JAPTIM) has outlined several best practices and strategies in order to provide a more efficient, and durable school educational program.
This was stated by the JAPTIM Chairperson, PG Hj Zahari Pg Hj Ahmad during his opening speech at the Hari Raya Gathering that was held at the Orchid Garden Hotel.
He said that thanks to the Ministry of Education which had granted the wishes of school principals in attaining more deputy principals in order to add to the number of school administrators and leaders for better effectiveness and administration of the schools and collages, schools and collages throughout the country will benefit with the numerous school administrators, capable of administrating the Ministry’s Education policy with better efficiency as well as handeling issues and challenges that arises when implementing the new SPN21.
He said that the role of JAPTIM is not only to be dynamic in facing challanges of new educational trends and educational environment but also the working committee of JAPTIM must also practice the best practices to be implemented in schools throughout the country.
He also said that JAPTIM will work closely with cluster schools in realising the ministry’s vision, where in the school leaders are not only empowered on a national level but also will be given the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge and skill from attending forums and programs abroad, such as the South East ASEAN School Principal forum, where participants are able to interact, discuss and exchange ideas and experiences with fellow school administrators from the ASEAN region.
Meanwhile during the Hari Raya Gathering for JAPTIM members, the guest of honour, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education Hjh Norjum bte Hj Md Yusop, took the opportunity to present mementos to eighteen past JAPTIM members.
The event is a yearly event organised by JAPTIM in order to foster closer relations and create harmony between its members and the 6 cluster of schools in the nation.
