The Postman program workshop for new postmen yesterday held a closing ceremony after completing a four day workshop aimed at enhancing and improving their knowledge and empowering the postmen with knowledge that will motivate them to be more effective and effective in carrying out their daily duties.
Sixteen postmen from all four districts took part in the 4 day Postman workshop program organised by the Postal Services Department where it aims to enhance the services of postmen as well as their awareness on working ethics.
Participants attended workshops and briefings on road safety workshop, motivational talk on duties as a postman, briefing on postman duties and responsibilities as well as a talk on the misuse of drugs by the Narcotic Control Bureau and a visit to the Drug Rehabilitation center, Al-Islah.
The guest of honour at the event was the Post Master General Hj Kadir bin Tengah, who had presented certificates to the participants.
The event was followed by a promotion ceremony for two postmen, Murni Hj Muslim from the EMS unit and Ramli Mohidin from the Kuala Belait Post office. They were both promoted from to Postmen Grade 1
